Talent Acquisition Specialist (Temporary)



Provides consultation to HR leadership and search committees to support the sourcing, attraction, and selection of high-quality job candidates through consistent process implementation.  Makes recommendations about process improvements and policy changes related to recruitment, selection and onboarding.  Serves as the college’s primary representative for employer outreach and branding.   



  • Assisting with job postings
  • Conducting search launches with search committees
  • Monitoring searches and following up
  • Acting as a consultant for hiring managers and search committees
  • Managing simple Applicant Tracking System requests such as login issues or moving applicants through the system. Currently implementing the ATS PageUp, which should be running August/September.
  • Invoicing for Talent Acquisition processes
  • Maintain TA website
  • Potentially instructing hiring managers on offers with candidates


  • Provides coaching and consultation to the campus community as the subject matter expert regarding the processes, polices, and procedures for sourcing candidates, designing a search process, selection and providing an excellent candidate experience throughout.
  • Makes recommendations around process and policy changes to align with institutional values, increase equity and access, enhance transparency, and fully make use of technical resources.
  • Provides budget oversite for the talent acquisition budget to ensure resources are used equitably and impactfully. This includes oversite and approval of search expenses, working with vendors, invoicing, and reconciliation of expenses.
  • Works in partnership with multiple teams on campus to fully utilize and align the functionality of the Applicant Tracking System to ensure search equity, accurate record keeping, consistency of candidate experience, and automation of work.
  • Cultivates relationships within the region by representing the college at events as well as creating relationships with trade schools and employment support resource services.
  • Designs communication strategies using a variety of mediums to ensure transparency and consistency of talent acquisition processes including websites, training materials, templates for outreach, and process documentation.



  • Bachelor’s degree plus minimum of 3 years of related experience in Human Resources, or an equivalent combination.
  • Experience using an integrated applicant tracking system (ATS) or similar system to communicate, engage and assess complex audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with a wide range of constituents
  • Ability to navigate conflict and consistently apply policies
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion and belonging


  • Master’s degree in human resources or relevant field
  • S/PHR certification
  • Experience creating policies

Placement: Temporary Approximately September 1st to December 31st. 

3 week training (dates TBD)

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm

Pay: $23 to $25 depending on experience

Location: Downtown Colorado Springs area
