Sales Coordinator

Summary/Objective

The Sales Coordinator supports the efforts of sales reps and customer service in smoothly processing customer orders and attending to customer needs.  The Sales Coordinator directly supports the profitability of the company and the success of the organization’s special program offerings.  The successful individual is expected to be able to communicate professionally with customers by phone or email, and on occasion may be required to meet face-to-face with customers digitally or in person.  This position requires a high degree of organization and attention to detail in tracking orders from initial order placement through delivery completion and invoicing.  A keen eye for a positive customer experience is essential.

  • Input orders in ERP system, ensuring they are processed according to company and customer requirements.
  • Verify pricing, discounts, and product availability.
  • Suggest alternate options to customers and sales representatives for unavailable items.
  • Organize and coordinate orders requiring special processing (ie. Small furniture orders, bulk orders, special programs).
  • Create, send, and confirm purchases to suppliers.
  • Have knowledge of wholesale account freight plans, making purchasing decisions to optimize savings.
  • Find better buying options and money saving buying options through Essendant wholesale accounts, buying groups and direct vendors or negotiating with vendor reps 
  • Provide backup support to Purchasing Specialist.
  • Become a highly proficient user in Total Office’s business management system ERP.
  • Interface with Accounting Department regarding customer invoicing and vendor payables.
  • Work with the warehouse to track incoming product and ensure smooth delivery to the customer.
  • Work at the center of the organization, gaining a broad exposure to all aspects of the business while optimizing order processing and customer satisfaction!

Software used:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Auto Cad

 

Required Education and Experience                 

  • Related sales and/or administrative experience
  • Understanding of supply chain preferable
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, MS Word

Contract-to-Direct

Pay: $19 + depending upon experience 

Schedule: Full-time (8:00 AM- 5:00 PM Monday-Friday)
