 An Enterprise Architect assists the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture to develop and promote the company's technology strategy and roadmap in partnership with the business and IT leadership to enable business strategies to meet the needs of the member base now and well into the future. An Enterprise Architect is responsible for assembling long-term strategic plans for the company that include technology roadmaps, process improvements, standards, governance, and technology portfolio management. Additionally, participates in architecture reviews and technology evaluations to ensure alignment to the strategic roadmap and to evaluate and drive technology standards and fitment evaluations. Plays a strategic role in the organization through participation in an Architecture Review Board (ARB) to govern enterprise solutions to ensure systems are designed to ensure maximum uptime, appropriate monitoring, automated resiliency, appropriate security, and enterprise performance.


Strategic Direction of IT Solutions and Process: Leverage best of breed technology design. 5-year planning / roadmap for architectural needs based on corporate strategic plan. Focus on reducing complexity and streamlining support. Ensure security and operational integrity is sustainable. Define architectural standards and governance in line with enterprise technology roadmap, regulatory requirements, and security standards.

IT Leadership Collaboration: Focus on streamlining dependencies and processes across all IT functions. Drive improvement opportunities within dependent areas. Consolidation and review of key metrics and statistics critical to the operations of the IT Dept

 Business Leadership Collaboration: Gather, evaluate, and analyze long term objectives from line-of-business leaders. Assess existing technology portfolio to evaluate technology needs in alignment with strategic business plans. Plan appropriate timing for inclusion of new, updated, or replacement technologies into roadmaps.

 IT Collaboration: Evaluate solution architecture artifacts to ensure alignment with business and technology strategies and roadmaps Analyze, assess, and build new processes within IT in support of enterprise architecture functions and socialize changes with the organization. Manage an enterprise architecture through modeling software to ensure that an accurate picture of the people, process and technology aspects of the company are well-documented and usable by enterprise architecture stakeholders.

 Cost Analysis / Vendor Management: Evaluate solutions that will drive down cost of IT Operations. Engaging of key vendors / partners as needed to meet timelines. Engage vendors for cost saving solutions. Track and report on cost and impact for key projects.

 Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.


Minimum Formal Education Required for this Position:

 • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.


Minimum Work Experience:

 • 10+ years' overall experience in working in complex technical environments. Required

 • 3+ years' demonstrated experience in an enterprise architecture role or an equivalent field. required

Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of "Knowledge Consistent with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 2+ years' of accounting experience? could be substituted for a High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a Master's Degree in Accounting and 0 years of work experience


Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

 • Proven knowledge and experience in enterprise architecture practices, governance, standards, and frameworks.

• Proven understanding of technology trends, environments, capabilities, and requirements

 • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in regulations and best practices for technical designs in a regulated industry.

 • Strong technical understanding and comprehensive breadth of knowledge of technology best practices, solution design, and systems integration.

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

 • Ability to gather business needs and translate them into strategic roadmaps.

 • Ability to build consensus across technical and non-technical constituencies.

 • Ability to manage technology portfolios and understand how to evolve them.

 • Excellent analytical skills.

 • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and Visio.


Certifications Required:

• Relevant technical certification(s) in the area of enterprise architecture: TOGAF Zachman BIAN preferred


Additional information

Typical Pay Range: $127,691.20 - $167,606.40 . This position is eligible for our corporate bonus program.
