Job Description


  1. Associates Degree or college training in accounting and human resources preferred.
  2. Knowledge of human resources, preferably in a school setting.
  3. Knowledge of human resources principles laws and practices.
  4. Ability to perform sound human resource analysis and take or recommend appropriate actions regarding human resource matters.
  5. Experience working with scheduling and training/facilitating.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others
  7. Ability to use a variety of office equipment, supplies and materials; operate and perform assigned job functions; work independently in the absence of supervision; identify problems and implement solutions; understand and follow oral and written directions; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  8. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Colorado State driver's license.

Reports To:  Executive Director/Director of Fiscal Services/PD Coordinator 

Job Summary:  Provides and/or creates human resources work products, guidance, and any necessary training in areas such as employment and dismissal, compensation, workman's compensation claims, labor relations, benefits, and professional development. Provides assistance and follow-up to employees throughout the application process in the areas of policies, procedures, and documentation. Coordinates the resolution and/or referral of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service: Answer phone calls and email regarding HR/Employees Benefits questions: insurance plans, premiums, 125 files plan, FMLA, retirement, qualifying events and wellness program. Maintains communication with current employees regarding any changes in personnel or benefits through website and newsletters.
  2. Prepares files for newly hired employees, ensures that they are complete, accurate, and in proper order prior to giving to payroll and before filing.
  3. Monitor & process background checks, fingerprinting and follow up as needed. Issue and maintain company badges.

Prepares all job postings, vacancies, screening applicants, schedule interviews, reference checks, facilitate orientations and assists with the hiring process. Draft Offer letters of employment and/or letters of rejection.

Schedule- Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm, some evenings required for Board Meetings
