Job Description



General Purpose: To foster a welcoming atmosphere for those calling or visiting by identifying each person’s specific needs and seeing that those needs are met, either by direct service or by referring them to the appropriate resource. To improve the efficiency of the intake process by assisting prospective people with applications.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Intake Administration

  •  Do initial check for completeness of Partner family applications and provide initial assessment of applicant motivations and situation.
  •  Answer inquiries about the program from prospective applicants either on telephone or in person.
  •  Maintain knowledge of community service resources and provide community referrals as appropriate.
  •  Manage information and reporting in the data systems as appropriate.

Reception Management

  •  Receive and screen all incoming telephone calls on main lines; take messages and/or answer inquiries.
  •  Greet visitors and monitor reception area.
  •  Check main voice mail and answer or forward messages.
  •  Keep informed on agency events.
  •  Receive and distribute mail, screening incoming correspondence for appropriate disposition.
  •  Receive and store donations as needed.
  •  Maintain supplies of facility and office related items.

Other

  •  Participate in agency events as needed.
  •  Handle special projects as requested by supervisor.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for the proper functioning and maintenance of front desk equipment.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. Strong computer proficiency.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a business setting.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Knowledge of Colorado Springs social service agencies a plus.
  • Or other background demonstrating application of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to relate well with a variety of people.
  • Strong telephone skills.
  • Ability to organize diverse tasks in a busy office.
  • Ability to be courteous and calm and maintain a positive outlook under pressure.
  • Ability to exhibit sensitivity to and serve those with difficult and unusual requests and situations.
  • Ability to be flexible.
  • Ability to access information regarding other community resources.
  • Basic clerical and office skills.
  • Basic mathematical knowledge and skills.
  • Strong ability to operate a computer using Microsoft products.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.

Candidate must be fully vaccinated prior to start 

 

Contract-to-Direct

Pay: $16.00/hour

Schedule: Part-time (20 hours/week) 

  • 8:30 AM- 4:30 PM on Mon and Tues
  • 8:30 AM-12:30 PM on Wednesdays
