Job Description:  Business Manager/Director of Administration

 

The Business Manager/Director of Administration is responsible for managing and guiding the day-to-day administration and operations of the headquarters office, in service to the international programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Report to and work closely with the President/CEO in managing and guiding the day-to-day administration and operations of the headquarters office.
  • Guide and collaborate with organization staff.
  • Participate in strategic planning of the organization, and implementation of the strategic plan, as it relates to the daily operations.
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the organization’s business relationships, including government agencies, vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Play a primary role in the determination of staffing needs, and the recruitment of those positions.
  • Lead weekly staff meetings, and participate in departmental meetings, as required.
  • Establishing employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the nonprofit.
  • Review and approve contracts for services.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO.

Professional Qualifications Needed

  • Transparent and high integrity leadership.
  • Five or more years of nonprofit management experience.
  • Experience and skill in working with C-level executives.
  • High level strategic and systematic thinking and planning
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and collaborate with staff.
  • A history of successfully monitoring and improving financial results.
  • Excellent donor relations skills and understanding of the funding community.
  • Previous success in establishing/maintaining relationships within the community, including churches, groups & volunteers.
  • Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a high degree of self-motivation and energy.

Contract-to-direct

Pay rate: $19.23 per hour+ DOE

Full-time M-F 8 am to 5 pm
